Widening the "name box" - using API

Sorry, a rookie, I know zip about the "API" and just need to know the steps to get this task done - please and thank you.
Believe someone mentioned about widening The Defined Name Box (from http://www.cpearson.com/excel/NameBox.aspx )

How do I open and install the code listed there into the API?

API = Application Programming Interface.
It is not something that you put code into, it refers to the functions that are used by that code!
You need to copy and paste that code into a module in your workbook and then run the WidenNameBox2 sub.
