Hi, is there a way how to set 100% width of a title text field in a chart and have text horizontally centered? I'd like to dynamically change title based on the value in different sheet and it seems the change of title always broke the layout. I

Thanks!

Haven't tried it, but remove the title from the chart. Add a textbox. Set the value of the textbox to a cell (using =D5 in the formula bar) . Then set the textbox to full width and centred text.

I think that will work fine.

Solution
The "official" chart title can only be 80% or less of the chart's width. I don't know why; it makes me crazy also.

@sijpie suggests a testbox, which you can make as wide as the chart.

To link a chart text element (chart title, axis title, data label) or shape to a cell, select the chart element or shape, click in the formula bar, type =, and select the cell with the text you want displayed. You will get a link like =Sheet1!$A$1; note the address includes the sheet name. When you change the text in that cell, the formula displays the text in the chart element or shape.
