I am trying to do this because I am wasting too many cells so I want to do everyhing in one cell.

I have a figure in M4 which is 4-5 digits to the right of the decimal point eg 0.0024 this figure would vary but for the main part it is most times 4 places to the right of the decimal point, what I have to do is subdivide this figure by 2 each time and each result I get I either add or subtract from a specified number, the result I get from the subdivision of the increment i.e .0024 has to always be a 5 digit result to the right of the decimal place.

As an example.

I have 11.234 master cell and increment is .0065 what i have done here is minus .0065 it from 11.234 which gives 11.275 then .0065/2 minused from 11.275 and so forth. What I am trying to do is get everything as a result in 1 cell instead of using so many cells as seen in my example below. I don't want any more macros I have at least 6 applied to the same sheet already.

0.00650 11.2340
0.00325 11.2275
0.00163 11.2243
0.00082 11.2227
0.00041 11.2219
0.00021 11.2215
0.00011 11.2213
0.00006 11.2212
0.00003 11.2211
0.00002 11.2211
0.00001 11.2211
0.00001 11.2211
0.00001 11.2211
0.00001 11.2211
0.00001 11.2211
0.00001 11.2211

How to create a cell-sized chart?
Tiny charts, called Sparklines, were added to Excel 2010. Look for Sparklines on the Insert tab.
Hi water

What you have is a geometric progression

=V - r - r/2 - r/2^2 - r/2^3 - r/2^4 - ...

This is equal to

=V - 2r

In your example the final result is

=11.2340 - 2 * 0.00650 = 11.221

Hope this helps
