Greetings, a thought occurred to me today as I ran one of my macros. I opened an excel workbook which has a macro that automatically gives me a userform. I enter some data, the macro then sends out an email, then saves and closes out the workbook. as well as excel itself. I have several macros that do this same basic process, and I understand that you have to open Excel to run the macro. But wouldn't it be cool if I had buttons on my desktop that I could click on that would launch the Excel workbook directly? Did some searching on the internet and here on this forum, but I guess I am not phrasing the search correctly because I can't find anything even close.

Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks,

What did Pito Salas invent?
Pito Salas, working for Lotus, popularized what would become to be pivot tables. It was released as Lotus Improv in 1989.
Just put a shortcut to your Excel spreadsheet on your desktop. Double click on it and that will launch Excel and open the spreadsheet, and if it has an Auto Open macro, that should run too.
