Wondering Why

I've been fooling around with a golf tourney spreadsheet. After the game I have worksheets that consolidate the players stats (50 players 50 worksheets). After I save (ie The 1st Masters). I'll re-open it zero out the tourney and save as (The 2nd Masters) however the formula that sits in G5 of a players sheet =vlookup($A$1,Round1,27,0) doesn't change to =vlookup($A$1,'The 1st Masters'!Round1,27,0) when I re-open The 2nd Master.

Bad enough that I have to enter the (The 2nd's) formulas into G6 but then I have to go back to G5 and change those to The 1st. Each player has 85 columns of data. Find and Replace has been great but I'm thinking somehow the 2nd should recognize the 1st.

Thanks

Excel Facts

Fastest way to copy a worksheet?
Hold down the Ctrl key while dragging tab for Sheet1 to the right. Excel will make a copy of the worksheet.
As each new game is played I'm trying to keep each players stats updated in that current wookbook. The 1st Masters, 2nd, 3rd, 4th etc. So The 7th Masters will show the players stats from the previous 6 in 6 different rows.

I guess to save my head from beating against the wall I should do the above in a seperate wookbook.

Mahalo,
Hope to be able to eat at Aloha Mixed Plate again

And it's lunch time here, you had to mention Aloha Mixed Plate!

That's some workbook with 50 sheets. You may want to consider cutting down on the worksheets and use worksheets as tournaments played with a summary worksheet. Then have a summary worksheet within the workbook.
