Hello,
I recently upgraded to Windows 2010, and one of my templates that contains form controls is showing an upside down 'T' in the top right area of the cell. I have about 50 different controls within the same form, but only 3 of them have this symbol. I've tried everything I can think of to get rid of it. I tried re-inserting the form control (all three types), I tried converting the file to the most recent version, I tried copying a control that is not showing this symbol, I checked all of the formatting options and none are checked to be shown, I tried saving the whole file as a macro enabled, the older version, and the 2010 non macro version. Nothign worked. It shows up when printing so I need to find some kind of solution to get rid of it. Please let me know if anyone has run across this issue and knows what's causing it. Thank you.

Does this get printed?

What 'cells' are the fields in?

Yes, this symbol gets printed. When I say cell I mean the area in which the control is located. For instance these pariticular form controls are text box's. I insert the legacy control and within that box the 'T' is located.

I looked all over the internet for something that might help me with this situation - and this was the ONLY posting I could find with the same problems. I was so tickled to find the solution, I had to come back, register and sign in....just to post the answer in case anyone else ever stumbles across this! 'The little mark was because the “Autofit Contents” option of the table cell was selected. I changed all the cells option and the little marks went away" (with thanks to Dale)
