word wrap occurs slightly before the contents warrant wrapping

In cells with word wrap on, Excel has the annoying feature of expanding the row to accomodate another line when the cell contents are not quite ling enough to warrant wrapping. This leaves one with an expanded row but no actual text appearing on the newly added "line".

Any suggestions?

Square and cube roots
The =SQRT(25) is a square root. For a cube root, use =125^(1/3). For a fourth root, use =625^(1/4).
Welcome to MrExcel.

That happens occasionally. Have you tried increasing the column width slightly? You will need to autofit the row height afterwards.

Andrew,
Thanks for the suggestion -- that is what I would normally do, but I need this to be automated vs. manual since there are many sheets that must be formatted correctly.
