Workbook opening non-maximised

I have a workbook that I open up from the Public Folders of my company's Outlook system (by double-clicking it in Outlook itself). When it opens, the window is not maximised. To fix this, I put the following code into the ThisWorkBook module
Code:
Private Sub Workbook_Open()
ActiveWindow.WindowState = xlMaximized
End Sub

It opens up maximised, but then after an instant, it goes into a non-maximised state again. If I save the file to a local drive, and open it from there, it works fine.
Anyone have any ideas why this might be happening?

Thanks for all suggestions

How can you turn a range sideways?
Copy the range. Select a blank cell. Right-click, Paste Special, then choose Transpose.
Any takers on this one? It's not desperate but it will be a bit annoying for the users, and I don't want to give them any excuse for knocking the system (some of them are reluctant users).
All suggestions welcomed.
