Hi All,

I have inherited a spreadsheet from someone and have started modifying for my own purposes.

Unfortunatley it is taking a long time to save and appears to be doing some automatic recalculations when I modify certain cells.

I have removed all pivot table worksheets (is there some way to search throughout the rest of the workbook for pivot tables ?)

I have confirmed that there are no external references to the cells that I am altering (using the formula auditing toolbar)

The key symptom I see is the text "Table:X" in the Status bar at the bottom right hand corner of the screen. Where X changes from 1 through to 5 inclusive over a period of approx. 30 seconds.

Any assistance would be most appreciated

TIA

Simon
