I have an workbook that will not completely open. It starts and then gets stuck on the Excel Microsoft 365 opening: PPT03 220207 1109.xlsm (0%)

It was working fine while I was developing it and I was saving it with no problem. Once I closed it I could not get it to open backup. Its been stuck for hours and hours.

Other excel workbooks open as they should.

Any ideas or suggestions. I put a lot of work into this one.

Excel Facts

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
Does it have any of the following:
macros/scripts
links to external data or workbooks

There is some VBA but not extensive and nothing on workbook open. It uses Power Query to get data from SQL tables but no links.

You might want to try disabling auto update of external data and auto calculate in excel before opening the file. If that doesn’t help then the next thing I would try is rename the file to .xlsx and see if it opens.
