Workbook won't close ! (when others are still open)

I tried to solve this question earlier but no answer helped me yet.

I got a macro enabled workbook, with scripts while opening and others.
Everything works fine except that it can not be closed while other excel files are open. Those have to be closed manually before closing the macro enabled workbook. Both worksheet and workbook are protected, when i unprotect it i can also close the workbook/sheet, but this would be a problem when others will use my workbook.

Solutions unprotecting or closing other workbooks when clicking exit haven't worked so far. Excel doesnt respond at all when i perform a closing script (not even trying to display i.e. a messengerbox).

You would help me a lot, many thanx for any input !

You can teach Excel a new custom list. Type the list in cells, File, Options, Advanced, Edit Custom Lists, Import, OK
