Working out hours..

Hi.

I have 2 fields. Time start and Time finish and want to be able to calculate how many hours I have worked. At the moment if I want to say I started and half eight I have to put 8.5. How would I go about setting it so I can type in 8.30 to represent half eight??

Also I have another field. A calulated field called time worked which I want to be able to take the time started aand time finished and then put how many hours I ahve worked.

Finally another calculate field called ammount paid which will take the number of hours worked and multiply it by ammount set in another field. Now at the moment if I have the hours worked set to 8.30 then it won't calculate my pay correctly as it needs to be 8.5 for the calculation to be right at this time. any idea how I could get it to work correctly???

Try using excel's built in time format:

C2: =B2-A2+(B2< A2)
E2: =C2*24*D2
