Hi,

I have two spreadsheets, approx. 20 X 10 each, and I want to subtract corresponding cell values and put the new value in a summary sheet. For examp., cell A1 in SheetA has a value of 25 and cell A1 in Sheet B has a value of 15, and I want to get the difference of these two, and put the value into cell A1 of the summary SheetC. How can I create a formula that gives the difference for corresponding cells and puts them in a new sheet?

Thanks!

Does the VLOOKUP table have to be sorted?
No! when you are using an exact match, the VLOOKUP table can be in any order. Best-selling items at the top is actually the best.
Welcome to the Board!

In Sheet 3 A1, put =Sheet1!A1-Sheet2!A1. Copy across the applicible range.

Hope that helps,

Smitty
