I have a worksheet which contains two pivot tables, I want to protect this sheet, so that the pivot tables still update on refresh

I have tried 'unlocking' the columns which contain the pivots, then protecting the sheet but this does not seem to work

Am I doing something wrong?

TIA

Sorry, but pivot tables can't be refreshed on a protected sheet.

You could of course use VBA to unprotect the sheet, update the pivot table and reprotect the sheet.

I never thought of doing that, thanks for the idea :)
