would enabling macros change results?

My High school daughter recently competed in a scholarship pageant...scores for the evening were tabulated in EXCEL..

She won a runner up position and received a nice college scholarship...

However...due to one parent's complaints an internal audit was launched

We were then told that due to a "software glitch" the results had changed...ironically, this affected only 3rd runner up and 4th runner up.

They said that after "macros was enabled in excel" these two girls had no longer placed and two other girls moved into their spots...(also ironic is the fact that one of the girls that moved into the spot is the daughter of the parent that complained) My daughter was 3rd runner up and had her title and school money suspended

To make a long story short....I have worked with excel (but not too familiar with macros) Could just enabling macros change numbers that much? How or why would it take two girls scores down and two girls scores up? There were 11 girls in total and the others were apparently unaffected... by enabling macros, did the variables in general possibly change? I have no other info then what I have shared. The pageant committee is not willing to share any other results and have been very vague in any answers...The original scores were tabulated by a local audit team...and we were told the second audit was done by a different group...any ideas or suggestions?? It is all very strange!!

Using Function Arguments with nested formulas
If writing INDEX in Func. Arguments, type MATCH(. Use the mouse to click inside MATCH in the formula bar. Dialog switches to MATCH.
Welcome to the board.

It would depend on where the macro's were stored and what actions they caused. Can you post the code of the macro's?

Do not have any code for the macros...truly no other information! I really want to contest the audit...would that be the direction to go? requesting the code for the macros?? I just believe that something very fishey has occurred and that the results were manipulated? thanks so much for your time!
