Dear All:

I need to hide all of the rows in a spreadsheet (15,000 rows) that have a part number that does not start with M or K. I have found lots of simple macros that do something similar but usually not with any sort of textual evaluation. Any help please?

Excel Facts

Why are there 1,048,576 rows in Excel?
The Excel team increased the size of the grid in 2007. There are 2^20 rows and 2^14 columns for a total of 17 billion cells.
What Version of Excel are you running?

If xl2007 + then why not use an Auto-Filter, Selecting "Text-Filters" - and Begins With
K, or Begins with M

Well, this is a little embarrasing. I am running Windows 7 and cannot find the Help-About to figure out which version of Excel I am running.

Jim's suggestion should work then, Help - About was moved in excel 07.

Office button > excel options > resources > about.

Jason - Thanks for the Needed Correction on difference in 2003 and 2007; I had already forgotten that. Jim
