Hi,

I want to use excel to compute the following: X______ (wages before 13.3% benefit pay) x 13.3% (benefit pay percentage) = 10,000 (total pay). I want to know what wages were before adding the 13.3% benefit pay using an excel formula.

=10000/1.133

=Total_pay/(1+benefit_pay_percentage)

The formula you recommed works, and is a simple solution to the problem, though I would like to be able to enter the number as 13.3% instead of 1.133.

That's closer, but I would really like to be able to enter 10,000 in one cell, 13.3 in an other cell, and have a formula do the rest.
