XL 2003 glitch or stupidity?

I was upgraded from 97 to 03 and cannot get the chart plot area to expand (I don't get the tw0-headed arrow on the handle), nor can I move the legend block.

I've checked Tools-Options and click and drag is active. I looked at chart options also.

Does 03 not allow the legend block to be moved?
Why can't I resize the plot area?

Am I missing a setting somewhere or is this a glitch in our program?

XL glitch or stupidity?

I have the same problem with Windows XP and Excel 2002. My chart legends are all locked. No one here in IT support could find a solution. Also, my legends get cut off when I copy and paste my charts to PowerPoint. I have had to make my fonts smaller in the legends to work around this problem.

XL XP Pivot Charts Mandatory?

Is there some way to create a chart from a pivot table in XL XP that is NOT a "PivotChart"?

My bosses want me to change the chart layout which, I found, cannot be done with a "Pivotchart". However, it seems that ALL charts in XP are "PivotCharts".

Has anyone found a work-around for this?
