Hello i read that if set

Application.Calculation = xlCalculationManual

it may speed up your code. I also read you have to turn it back on in later versions of excel but that isn't what concerns me.

Quick question
if it is set tob Manual, what changes?

Does this just mean that if i have a sum formula in a cell somewhere it won't update if i change a cell its depended on?

or

will it affect calculations in my code, like if I specify,
VariableA = 6*ws.cells(1,1)

Thanks!

How to create a cell-sized chart?
Tiny charts, called Sparklines, were added to Excel 2010. Look for Sparklines on the Insert tab.
it only effects formulas on the sheet. And if your code changes cells that effect those formulas, those formulas won't be updated.

However, if your code creates formulas, those formulas will still calculate.
