Has anyone been able to figure this out yet? I started with a new company recently. My old company used an EXCEL based box making program created by the owners son. It works fine on my home computer running office 2010 but at my new company using office 365 it won't open. Just says the file is corrupted. I know it's not because I can take it back home and the same file on the thumb drive opens up perfectly, no issues. I figured it was just a macros permission issue but I changed all that and it still doesn't work. Anyone have any ideas? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

No, I used it at my old company. I made a copy and used it on my computer at home and I have used it on other computers. It's something to do with 365 or anything after 2010 versions of excel. I've seen threads of others struggling with the same issue after 2016 came out. Unfortunately, none found a solution or at least none posted a solution.

Did you download it (either from the web or an email)?

In that case it depends on the code. There is no real reason, other than that, for the files not to open.

Shouldn't it just be opening in compatibility mode? That's what it does on my home computer running office 2010

An xlsm file shouldn't open in compatibility mode, only old style xls should.

Yeah this is driving me crazy and my new IT people too. You want me to upload it and see if you can open it? It's only a 75kb file nothing crazy
