Has anyone been able to figure this out yet? I started with a new company recently. My old company used an EXCEL based box making program created by the owners son. It works fine on my home computer running office 2010 but at my new company using office 365 it won't open. Just says the file is corrupted. I know it's not because I can take it back home and the same file on the thumb drive opens up perfectly, no issues. I figured it was just a macros permission issue but I changed all that and it still doesn't work. Anyone have any ideas? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

The file definitely seems corrupted when opening with Excel. What is the name of the macro in the file?

Excel Facts

Quick Sum
Select a range of cells. The total appears in bottom right of Excel screen. Right-click total to add Max, Min, Count, Average.
I just tried to open the file
and received "Excel cannot open the file 'BOX MAKER PROGRAM.xlsm' because the file format or file extension is not valid. Verify that the file has not been corrupted and that the file extension matches the format of the file." I am using Excel 2016 Mac

I also tried it in Office.com's Web Version of Excel and it stated "We're sorry, we couldn't open your workbook. It's possibly corrupt"

I got the same response but I think I managed to open it in a cheating way which is why I asked for the name of the macro to double check it was the same file.
It doesn't really make any difference though as the file has got corrupted and you will need to rebuild it or save a new copy as you obviously have a version on your home computer.
