I've imported a large XML file into xls. Randomly some rows in the xls file have taken the format of a wide single cell rather than the normal column layout.

Does anyone know if a macro could bu used to find and correct these rows?

Thanks.

Excel Facts

Repeat Last Command
Pressing F4 adds dollar signs when editing a formula. When not editing, F4 repeats last command.
Try:
VBA Code:
Sub DeMerge()
Dim myC As Range
'
For Each myC In ActiveSheet.UsedRange
    If myC.MergeCells Then
        Debug.Print myC.Address, myC.MergeArea.Address
        myC.UnMerge
    End If
Next myC
End Sub
Bye
