I have two columns of numbers. Some lines are identical and some are different. In a third field, I need to use a formula which flags by either 'yes' or 'no' whether each line in the two columns are identical.

Please forgive what must be a very simple query. Your help is, as always, much appreciated.

Excel Facts

What do {} around a formula in the formula bar mean?
{Formula} means the formula was entered using Ctrl+Shift+Enter signifying an old-style array formula.
Assuming Column 1 is A and Column 2 is B - Copy the following formula into Column 3 (C):

=IF(A1=B1,"YES","NO")
