i need a ball formula
.
basically i have data that i have to smooth. and the best way i can think to explain is using this 3d graph. if i had different size selectable balls that i just press against the area i need reducing then it would be very easy to achieve my goals.
in an excel enviroment i'd guess i'd need a formula that will reduce cells around the target cell at a diminshing rate (like the radius of a ball)
so a smaller ball would only affect cells very close to the target cell but a big ball would affect further afield but both would have a dimishing percentage of reduction.
