Hi

I appear to be having an excel related problem with my pc and wondered if anyone can help

last week I wrote two small macros that store the password to lock and unlock my workbooks. I have saved them to my personal workbook and added a button onto my toolbar

They work fine, but somedays (not every day) whenever I lock my pc (ctrl-alt-del) and return to unlock it, my vba sheet with my password is sat there open right in front of me, yeh, not very secure

At first I thought it must be my clumsy thumbs hitting some special key combination I am not aware of, but it happens to often for it to be this I think
Has anyone come across this problem before or know of a way of resolving it?

Thanks

Wayne

Did you know Excel offers Filter by Selection?
Add the AutoFilter icon to the Quick Access Toolbar. Select a cell containing Apple, click AutoFilter, and you will get all rows with Apple
This is a quirk in Excel that I don't know how to fix. You can lessen the security risk by locking the VBA project.

Go into VBE, right click the workbook in the project tree, and select VBAproject Properties... Select Protection, lock the project, enter a password you will remember.

Now save the personal workbook, close down and start up Excel and the problem is gone.
