Greetings,

I am working on allocating engineers from our branch to assigned tasks (That way I can show the higher ups if we need to hire more people for the coming year). Lets say I have 3 engineers. Each one has 50 work weeks available. If I have X projects and each one takes Y amount of time, I know that I can do a simple =Sheet1!A1-Sheet2!A1 to show how many weeks left they have. What I am having trouble with is showing what project the engineers are tasked with when I am looking at the weeks left. I want to show which projects they are working on when I see the weeks left. (I am looking for a formula that’s quick and painless, rather than manual entry). Any Ideas? Let me know if this doesn't make sense. Also, if there is a software that would be useful please feel free to share. Thanks for taking a look at this post!

Excel Facts

What is =ROMAN(40) in Excel?
The Roman numeral for 40 is XL. Bill "MrExcel" Jelen's 40th book was called MrExcel XL.
Any tips or software for it? I use Smartsheet for my Gantt charts but its doesn't have the feature I am looking for.
