Locking up topic by the "creator"?

Just a thought, but it would be helpful for users answering questions to know at a glance if the question is still valid.

Some users have the ability to edit their posts, but only if they have logged on (as I found when replying to your "Why a new message board?" post; spot the spelling mistake in the very first line?), would it be possible for registered users to lock only their own posts so that no-one goes in to help only to find that the problem has been solve? This should cut down the number of entries on each board as these locked topics can be sent straight to the archives and only the latest requests will be displayed. Should cause less stress for people who have had replies, but no working answer that they could use.

Hi George,

Another great idea. Let me see if I can find a hack to allow the posting person to mark their question as "complete".
