How can I get access to applying smiley faces and flaming folders ("Hot Issues")

I love some of the VERY different faces posted!
 
Not a stupid question!

For smilies, you already have the ability to use them. :biggrin:

When you post a message, there is a little box above the submit button that says 'disable smilies on this post.' Click the link on the word smilies, and it will show you all of the available ones, and what you need to type in order for them to show up.

The flaming folders are an automatic thing that happens after a thread gets a certain number of posts. We can't control that.
