    Default Query By Formula -- beginner question

    In english I want the formula to read:
    Only the entries in column B that contains the text "XP"

    How should I be inputting this into the Query By Formula feature?

    Thanks!

    It's much easier to use Query By Example for this.

    1. Select Easy-XL -> Query -> Query By Example

    2. Check the column that you want to examine on the left

    3. Check the "Column Contains" option and enter XP

    Note: The search is case insensitive and you can search for different values by separating them with a coma. Example: xp,nt,95,vista

    4. Click the Finished button. A new sheet containing all of the matching rows will be created.

    Here's an example using the sample data (Invoices tab) included with Easy-XL. Here we're looking for all rows where the description column contains easy-xl.
