    Default Excel XL Rules

    Hi There,

Just yring to clarify the rules for Query Sheet.

I am performing a Query by Match but the match values are in a separate spreadsheet. When I click on Range it will not allow me to navigate to the spreedsheet. Is this correct do I have to copy the values into the first spreedsheet.

And what is the Append Output to Existing Worksheet supposed to do.

Thanks in Advance for your help.

You should be able to select any open sheet. Click on the sheet's tab at the bottom to select it.

By default, the result of a Query is a new sheet containg a copy of all rows that matched your criteria. The append output to existing worksheet option allows you to have the selected rows added to the sheet you specify instead of writing them to a new sheet.

You should be able to click on a sheet in the other workbook if you can see it or use the View -> Switch Windows -> Your workbook.

Make sure that the workbooks are in the same instance of Excel.
