password protect 2016 excel workbook

how do I password protect a 2016 excel .xlsx so that when a user open and DOES not know the pswd .......selecting CANCEL will open the file as READ ONLY? is this possible? thanks

Do you hate GETPIVOTDATA?
Prevent GETPIVOTDATA. Select inside a PivotTable. In the Analyze tab of the ribbon, open the dropown next to Options and turn it off
