Pivot Table Data Source Issue

This has never happened to me. For years! And suddenly this is happening.

For years I've copied workbooks and renamed them or used "SAVE AS" to create another version.

v1, v2... etc.

Pivot Tables and the Source stay within that workbook. But now- the source points to original file!

So if I save v1 as v2 the pivots on workbook v2 are pointing to data in v1!

I have to change data source on ALL the pivot tables and I can't figure out why this is happening!

Any help would be appreciated!

Which version of excel is this?

When you right click on Pivot Table-> Pivot Table Options->Data->Save Source Data With File is it checked?

Original file: CVI Program.xlsx
Source: Encounters!$A$3:$BB$4373

New File: CVI Program (v2).xlsx
Soucre: '[CVI Program.xlsx]Encounters'!$A$3:$BB$4373

Still points to original source.
