Concatanation problem

Hi All,

I am looking to take data from column A and paste it into column B.
However, i need to paste it into the middle of a string of text that lies in B.

Help would be much appreciated.

You're going to have to provide a little more information. What type of data do you have? What constitutes the middle of the column B text sting.

Hi Jeff, Thanks for your help.

Basically i have 30k lines i need to do this for, i need to copy text from column A "TEXT1" and paste it into column B.
I want to keep what is in B and add the data from A into the middle of B.

Column A	Column B
Text1	This is a string of text TEXT1 this is more string of text

</tbody>

But where in the middle of the column B text. After something, before something? What is the middle? Can I pick a random number for the middle?

It needs to be placed as the 49th character in a string of text that totals 104.

That almost worked, apolgies.

The data which i need from A, needs to be added into B ( and replace/delete the following "XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX".
It also added a space before the text that was added.

If I'm understanding this correctly, you have 25 X's in the middle of your text in column B and you want those X's replaced with what's in A?

=SUBSTITUTE(B1,REPT("X",25),A1)

If this is not it, then what exactly is in A1 and what exactly is in B1 and what do you want C1 to show?
