Hi Guys,

I have a question that I can't seem to find an answer for, if anybody could help that would be great, alternatively if there is another thread with the same or similar answer if somebody might be able to help me by pointing me in the right direction.

So assuming I have a data set that looks something like this across 2 columns...

A B

Name Age
Stephen 37
Andrew 34
David 69
Patricia 58

So for example Stephen's age is 37 and that value sits in cell B3

The formula that I'm looking for would do the following...

If in another section of the sheet, let's say for example cell's D3 and D4, I wanted to manually type (or copy and paste) one of the names from Column A in my original data set into cell D3 how can I set up a formula so that it would automatically pull across the corresponding value to that name (age in this case) and return that value in cell D4

So to further clarify, if I just copy and pasted 'Andrew' into Cell D3 I want a formula that would return '34' for me in cell D4 based on the data that I have pre-loaded into columns A and B.

Hope that makes sense, any help would be greatly appreciated.
