MID function

Need to pull "Mortgage" out of Business Mortgage, Loan. I thought using the mid function would be the correct way to do it, I am not sure because I used the MID function and got it wrong.

This is messy but does what you want...
=LEFT(MID(A1,FIND(" ",A1)+1,99),FIND(",",MID(A1,FIND(" ",A1)+1,99))-1)

When I tried this function it pulled "Mortgage, Loan" I need it to just pull Mortgage.

B1=LEFT(MID(A1,FIND(" ",A1)+1,99),FIND(",",MID(A1,FIND(" ",A1)+1,99))-1)

Here is another formula that should do what your formula does...

=REPLACE(REPLACE(A1,FIND(",",A1),99,""),1,FIND(" ",A1),"")
