Office 2010 on a state gov't puter...so with some limitations

A file we have protected on our end came back from a vendor protected by them- in other words, our password no longer works on their file.
A script I've used before with success, widely available online, just keeps spitting out AAAAAAAAA, which doesn't work (usually rerunning the script yields a slightly different password, not here). The vendor added some things they shouldn't have, but I'm seriously doubting they actually added protection (but maybe, haven't been able to get hold of them yet).

Anyone have suggestions? I'd found an add-in that might work...but I'm blocked from downloading it.

Excel Facts

Square and cube roots
The =SQRT(25) is a square root. For a cube root, use =125^(1/3). For a fourth root, use =625^(1/4).
Forum rules prohibit discussing breaking passwords, I'm afraid. Thread closed.
