Quarter-End Date

I'd like a formula that returns the latest calendar quarter end Month and Year in the format "MMYY", based on today's date w/out referencing any other cell.
ex) If I open the spreadsheet on 11/17/17, the formula result would be 0917
On 1/5/18, result would be 1217
On 4/17/18, result would be 0318
On 6/29/18, result would be 0318
On 7/1/18, result would be 0618

If it helps, I currently use the following formula to return the last calendar quarter date in format "M/DD/YYYY":
=DATE(YEAR(TODAY()),FLOOR(MONTH(TODAY())-1,3)+1,0)
as of 11/17/17, result is 9/30/2017 [note the formula does not require any cell references]

Just wrap your current formula in the TEXT function, i.e.

=[COLOR=#ff0000]TEXT([/COLOR]DATE(YEAR(TODAY()),FLOOR(MONTH(TODAY())-1,3)+1,0)[COLOR=#ff0000],"mmyy")[/COLOR]
