Hi folks,

I have a few spread sheets where a summary page exists and references one of the other tabs depending on the day of the month.

So I have 23 tabs named Day 1 Day 2 Day 3 etc

On the summary page I have formulas like

=SUM('Day1'!C12+'Day1'!C24+'Day1'!C36)

My question is is it possible to have a cell on the summary page that I can just change from 1 to 2 to 3 etc and I can then write the formula to look at Day 1 day 2 etc dpending on what is in that cell.

Hope that makes sense

I ask because at present the staff need to select the cells and do ctrl F and replace "day 1" with "Day 2" which about 10 times a month they get wrong and I need to correct the formulas.

Cheers

Excel Facts

Difference between two dates
Secret function! Use =DATEDIF(A2,B2,"Y")&" years"&=DATEDIF(A2,B2,"YM")&" months"&=DATEDIF(A2,B2,"MD")&" days"
Use INDIRECT function.

=SUM(INDIRECT("'Day"&A1&"'!C12")+INDIRECT("'Day"&A1&"'!C24")+INDIRECT("'Day"&A1&"'!C36"))

A1 is the cell where you'll have 1, 2, 3...
