Extracting specific data from PDF file into excel

Is there a way to have an excel file look to external PDF's for specific information? Meaning if I had multiple PDF files with specific information that I needed to be able to fill a table instead of manually typing in the info from each PDF, would I be able to do it?
Example: look for date / model number / cost in the PDF.
