Need help with date conversion formula

Hello Board,
I was using this formula =0+MID(C2,5,6) to convert this Mon Dec 11, 2017 into this 12/11/2017. It worked up until 2018 came along. If I use it now, it will convert this....Mon Dec 11, 2017 to this, 12/11/2018.
please let me know what is wrong.

Copy formula down without changing references
If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.
Your formula only pulls out the "Dec 11" part of your cell. Excel wants to default to the current year when not specified. Try this instead:
