I need to compare select items in a column per row. For now,I need to compare each row one at a time because of how the spreadsheets are set up. for instance, in cell C808, compare value I C 2 against C3, if same ^, "error, for cell E808, same logic. as I change the row number (C808 to C809,C810, etc, I need the formula to change to reflect the change in rows I am comparing.

Is there a formula than can do this? A macro would work as well, but I might need to get special approval to insert a macro in this spredsheet, so I would like a formula. End result I'm comparing data from two different sources, item by item.

THanks.

Whats the difference between CONCAT and CONCATENATE?
The newer CONCAT function can reference a range of cells. =CONCATENATE(A1,A2,A3,A4,A5) becomes =CONCAT(A1:A5)
Hi, I've read your original post a couple of times and don't have the first clue what you're trying to achieve.

Can you please explain REALLY CLEARLY what exactly you want to do ?

Don't bother too much with explaining the real world application of your problem - that's probably not too important. Just focus on what data you have now, and what exactly you want to do with it.

Good luck !
