Conditional Format based on actual values

Hello, I want to change the value of a cell based on the value of another cell.
Example:
I want A1 to change color based on the value of A5.
Here are the values. I am not sure how to get them to change between two numbers e.g. 0 & 0.5, 0.5 & 1,5 etc.

Between 0 and 0.5 = Dark Green
Between 0.5 and 1.5 = Light Green
Between 1.5 and 2.5 = Yellow

As you plan to change the color of cell A1 depending on the content of that of another cell, in the case of A5, the best alternative is to use the formula option.


Try to use:

Select A1

Conditional Format Menu --> Using Formula

Rule 1
Type: =AND(A5>=0;A5<=0,5)
Set format fill color to DARK GREEN
OK

Rule 2
Type: =AND(A5>0,5;A5<=1,5)
Set format fill color to LIGHT GREEN
OK

Rule 3
Type: =AND(A5>1,5;A5<=2,5)
Set format fill color to YELLOW
OK

Or you can use "Format only cells that contain" option in CF, and enter the values you want for each condition.
