Hi, never had a problem until upgraded to Windows 10:

I have a spreadsheet containing a column of dates in mmm-yy format. eg Jun-17 but when I enter Jun-17, Excel defaults to Jun-18. Same thing happens If I enter Jun-19, it just defaults to Jun-18. Can anyone Help? I am using Office 2013.

Excel Facts

Copy a format multiple times
Select a formatted range. Double-click the Format Painter (left side of Home tab). You can paste formatting multiple times. Esc to stop
if you look at the cell with the full date is it 1/6/18, you might enter jun 19, nut it could be stored as 19/jun/18 and what you see is just that

I guess you need to add the 1st to each entry and that would control it
