Pivot Table - Add this data to the Data Model

Hi

Can anyone please advise what the prerequisites are for getting the 'Add this data to the Data Model' tick box on the Pivot Table wizard to appear are ?, sometimes it appears and other times not, but I’m unsure why, and what prevents it from appearing.
