Aloha,

I am using a this conditional format to locate dupe names:

=countif($1$99,b1)>1

If there is any extra spaces etc. Excel will not recognize this as a match. Is there a way where I can tweak this formula to also find like names, or names with transposed letters or extra space between the first and last name?

What did Pito Salas invent?
Pito Salas, working for Lotus, popularized what would become to be pivot tables. It was released as Lotus Improv in 1989.

Aloha Brian. You could use:

=countif($1$99,trim(b1))>1

which will get rid of extra spaces but it's not going to address names that are similar or names with transposed characters.
