Hello there,

I'm trying to format my Excel file for better overview.

I'd like to have conditional formatting that works like this:
Each row (starting at 2) it checks if column A of that row is not empty.
If it is not empty, format column A-D of that row with a border

Is this possible with 1 condition? Or would I need 2? (1 for A, 1 for B-D)

Thank you for your help!

Excel Facts

Which came first: VisiCalc or Lotus 1-2-3?
Dan Bricklin and Bob Frankston debuted VisiCalc in 1979 as a Visible Calculator. Lotus 1-2-3 debuted in the early 1980's, from Mitch Kapor.
You can use this formula: =A2<>"" but I believe you would have to repeat it for each column A:D.

I think I've figured it out :)

Range:
=$A$2:$A$1048576;$B$2:$B$1048576;$C$2:$C$1048576;$D$2:$D$1048576

Formula:
=INDIRECT("A"&ROW())<>""

Formatting:
Add row or other stuff
