Hi,

Selection.SpecialCells(xlCellTypeBlanks).EntireRow.Delete

Can you sort left to right?
To sort left-to-right, use the Sort dialog box. Click Options. Choose "Sort left to right"
Don't know. I copied your code into a new spreadsheet, put data in a few rows in Column A and left some blank. Code ran as expected with no errors for me.

Is the sheet active at the time you run the code?
Are your blank cells truly blank or are they formulas returning ""?

What happens if you don't Select the cells i.e.

Code:
Sub DeleteEmptyRows()
On Error Resume Next
Range("A:A").SpecialCells(xlCellTypeBlanks).EntireRow.Delete
On Error Goto 0
End Sub
