Hi Forum

Hope all is well. I would like some help with a Macro to move a delimited cell to the adjacent cells as follows.

I have an output from an application the application has a TAG field that allows me to enter free text, unfortunately it only has one TAG field and I want to enter three variables.

I enter the text as follows.

Value1 : Value2 : Value3

When I export the list from the application the TAG Field is in Column P.

I would like to do as follows.

Leave Value1 in Column P

Move Value2 to Column Q

Move Value3 to Column R

I can enter the three values anyway I want so if someone has a more effective way to enter the text to make it easier to move the values to Q and R please suggest.

Any help as always would be most appreciated.

Many thanks

Best Regards
Rob

Excel Facts

Show numbers in thousands?
Use a custom number format of #,##0,K. Each comma after the final 0 will divide the displayed number by another thousand
Try using the Text to Columns tool on the Data tab. Enter the colon (your TAG field?) as your delimiter.
