Adding unknown text to custom number format

Hopefully this should be an easy question for someone although I've been struggling with it on and off for months!

We have various cells in our worksheet that will always have the following format (example) - WC-18-001A, WC-18-001B, etc. I would like for the user to just be able to put in the numbers and the last letter (e.g. 18001A) and have the final format be automatic.

We already use ones without the letter and that works no problem with this format: "WC-"00"-"000.

I just can't seem to make the transition to adding in that end letter? I thought something like "WC-"00"-"000;@ might work as I've seen that the @ is a text placeholder but no go on whatever I try. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!
