Data Validation list and select a formula as an option.

I am hoping to have Data Validation as a list on a cell where the source is a range (or a column in a table) and one of the options is a formula.

Example of source say;
Item A,
Item B,
Item C,
+Formula

This appears to work if I enter these items directly to the 'Source' field (written 'Item A, Item B, Item C, +Formula") although if I try the same thing using a range I cannot get this to work. If I enter "+Formula" into the list it errors as the Formula does not work unless it is in the Table where the Data Validation Cell reside, but not in the List I am referencing.

I have tried Cell Formatting (and some other options) so I can enter "+Formula" into the cell without an error, but when I do this the Data Validation treats this as text and does not enter it as a formula.

Would anyone have any tips?

Thanks,

Matt

Excel Facts

Wildcard in VLOOKUP
Use =VLOOKUP("Apple*" to find apple, Apple, or applesauce
I should add that the formula has been saved with a name ("Formula"), and "+Formula" is what I require this to reference.
